Comments to Tanner

It is great to have Tanner home. Today we went
to Trents Homecoming. Tanner seems to be in good
spirits. I have to admit I messed up the Blog site and
didn't realize that the comment area was lost somewhere.
Tanner came over to look at the site and let me know that
there were not any comments. So sorry about that. I know
He would like to hear from you, if you have tried to post
and not been able please try again. He does read these and
looks forward them.
We are looking for a great New Year! Wishing you a
Happy New Year also!

To the Godfrey Family! Wow ~ Jeremy just told me today about the blog/site and I read and watched all the entries and pics. I'm so sorry to hear this happened to Scott and Tanner, yet I see that what I have always known about your family is that you are very determined and tough in any situation! I am so grateful to see all the progress Tanner has had and what all your friends and family have done for you in this trying time. I too care about you and have been asking anyone I see that might know you what the progress is if they know how you are doing. I am sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner and offer to help again from when I spoke to Shelly right after the accident. You are all an amazing family and care about each other so much and have so many friends who care about you too. If nothing else that in itself should help you get through the hurdles you have to overcome. You have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. Please keep the great positive attitude you have and remember what you said to go each day one at a time. Look only toward tomorrow that it will be better and brighter! Happy New Year with lots of love.... Krista

Tanner,
We are all so happy you came to our home for dinner on New Year's Day. It made our first day of the new year extremely great and our home full of love by having you and your family here. Hope it wasn't too crazy for you.
I couldn't help but think about you and all of us sometimes hovering around you asking questions and giving our ideas and thoughts. I think you, with everything else you are having to learn, will have to learn to be very patient with all of us who love you so much. Patient because we can't totally experience all of the deep feelings, challenges, and difficulties you are. Those who love snd care about you will always want to say the right thing or think we know how and exactly what to say. That means we will at times say and do things that are Stupid, Wrong, and Not what you want to hear. So be patient with us when we unknowingly seem to be insensitive to what you are feeling and doing. I don't know if that has happened but if not yet, it will. We are just a bunch of bumbling, loving, wanna be do gooders for you, and we will mess it up sometimes. Don't ask me why I have been thinking about that. I guess because I am always the one who seems at one time or another to put her foot in her mouth!(Just ask my family)

P.S. Commander William Robert Anderson, the man who first took a submarine under the North Pole from the waters of the Pacific to the waters of the Atlantic wrote an article years ago. It was an untried and dangerous mission.
In his wallet he carried a tattered card with these words:"I believe I am always divinely guided. I believe I will always take the right road. I believe God will always make a way where there is no way." (Look Magazine 1971)
"Be not afraid, only believe."
(Mark5:36)
Love always, Brenda

We are all looking forward to new pictures of Tanner and the family. I go to your site the first thing to see what is new and happening with all of you. I know it takes time to keep this all updated but all of us need to know because we love all of you. I for one keep others up to date, some drivers can not go to your site so they depend on us to keep them up to date. Believe me you have so many drivers praying for you

Stacie this one is for you,
Sorry Tanner, it is a woman thing.

Pam Jenkins gave me this book a few months ago. It makes me laugh out loud. Some of it is dumb, but you can take what works and disreguard the rest. Anyway, I know mornings are hard so when you need a laugh open this book and I hope it does the trick.
I am 59 and you are not even 40 so some of this is much too old for you but maybe it will be of help for your future.
The book is by Nora Ephron and it is entitled "I FEEL BAD ABOUT MY NECK. And other thoughts on being a woman."
Here is a quote:
" Every so often I read a book about age, and whoever's writing it says it's great to be old. It's great to be wise and sage and mellow: it's great to be at the point where you understand just what matters in life. I can't stand people who say things like this. What can they be thinking? Don't they have necks?
I feel bad about my neck. Truly I do. If you saw my neck, you might feel bad about it too, but you'd be too polite to let on....."
Okay Stacie, these were my words before the summer of 2006. Pam should have given it to me before then. It would have saved me alot of grief!

P.S.
I am bringing the book over. Through all of your heart wrenching and challenging life experiences you have been and are facing, please don't think me frivolous or irreverant. Through all the serious and heart felt words of encouragement we all want to give.....Don't forget to take a moment for yourself and laugh!
Love, love, love ya, Brenda
Or shall I sign off in Tanner's words...Bitchin Sister Morris
