December 5, 2007

Tanner has started physical therapy three hours a day. He doing very well and he also says "hi" to everyone. He got to go outside for the first time on tuesday and took two laps around the courtyard in his wheelchair. Today Josh and Tanner found a hill that brought a smile to Tanner's face cause he got to go fast. They played eachother in chess for an hour and a half and it was a draw. Josh gave Tanner a physical therapy session that had a very happy ending:) Thanks again for all your prayers, they are working so keep it up. We starting remodeling the garage which we are turning into Tanner's master suite. We are trying to make the extreme makeover record. For an update on the surgery, he has two, eight inch rods from T2 to T10 and had 37 stitches. Tanner is in high spirits and we appreciate your love and support. We will update again when we get some more news:)

Tanner,
We think and pray for you and your family everyday. From the update by your Mom today it sounds like you are excelling in all you are experiencing. That is no surprise to those of us who know and love you. From my kitchen window I see lots of action going on at your house as your master suite is being prepared just for you! Can't wait until you are there.

P.S. One of God's greatest miracles is to enable ordinary people to do extraordinary things. That is you!
We love you,
Brenda Morris

Tanner,
I just thought I would tell you what Michael said in his prayers tonight. "Bless Tanner Godfrey because he was racing on his motorcycle and he hurt his back. He is having a rough, rough, rough, rough time and he needs the spirit to be with him. Bless his back to heal and his legs to walk again." Every day our family is touched by Michael's prayers for you because he never forgets you and he always prays straight from his heart. His prayers seem to have a direct line to heaven. All of the young boys in the neighborhood look up to you so much. You have always been a great example to them and treated them like your buddies. We are looking forward to your homecoming!
Love, Laura

Dear Scott & Stacie c/o Tanner and family,
Where are the words to express how shocked and extremely sorry I am after hearing about your son Tanner's accident. It literally took my breathe away. I finally was able to reach Traci and Ethan told me about your blog. What a wonderful thing to do for all of us out here thinking of you. Remembering you Scott, I just get a smile on my face. You have always been amazing and I could always feel how much love you had for Stacie and am sure you are an amazing dad. As Traci said, you have been 'the rock'. Please know I join both you and Stacie along with every cousin, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, grandma & grandpa, in supporting your positive effort with love and prayers. I truly wish the very best for you and your family. Tanner's strength, courage and wisdom will save his life. I continue to love "The Godfrey's" Always, Paige

Tanner,
I am sure you have forgotten this story but I never have nor will I ever forget. When you were in Primary, maybe Preston's age or younger, I had been the primary music leader. Kathy Peterson was your teacher and she told me this story the day it happened. On the Sunday I was released she decided during your classtime to go around the room and everyone tell something nice about me. When it came to your turn you said "Well, I think Sister Morris is Bitchin!"
She called that day to tell me, she thought it was so cute and funny. That remains today as one of the most loved and appreciated compliments I have ever recieved.
Hope I never let you down! And right back to you from the bottom of my heart!

P.S. Keep doing your best and you won't have any time to worry about failure, because you will never fail.
Love, Brenda (Bitchin Sister Morris to you!)

Tanner,
I don't think you remember me but I played on Preston's football team. I remember you coming and practicing with our team. I like to ride dirtbikes as well. I will continue to look at this website to see your progress. My prayers are with you and I am thinking about you. "Live Strong"

Love,
